Education and training
Francesca Pia Caputo graduated in Physics at the University of Pisa in 2021, with a thesis titled “Pipeline for in vivo protontherapy dose verification: an offline semiautomated tool for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital”. Her thesis-research work has been done at St. Jude in Memphis, an American leading hospital for pediatric cancer treatments and research. Her research and interest are related to protontherapy treatment (head and neck tumors) and dose verification with the exploitation of Monte Carlo simulation of protons interactions with biological tissues. Today she is a medical physics resident at the University of Pisa.
