Dania Cioni is Associate  Professor of Radiology at the University of Pisa School of Medicine in Pisa, Italy, Vice Chair of Residency School of Radiology,  board member of PHD in Clinical and Translational Sciences, chair of Master in Oncologic and Musculoskeletal imaging  at Pisa University Hospital. 

AREAS OF INTEREST

Dania Cioni is known for her research in ultrasound, contrast agent ultrasound, elastosonography techniques, computed tomography, magnetic resonance and magnetic resonance contrast agents for the study of diffuse and focal liver lesions. She is involved in several international and national oncologic projects, and her research also includes the evaluation of new biomarkers by the application of artificial intelligence in oncologic imaging for the diagnosis and the prediction of treatment  outcome.

I53C22000780001. She is board member of European Society of  Oncologic Imaging and board subcommittee member of European Society Radiology in Oncologic Imaging. She is board member of ENDOCAS -Center for computed assisted surgery –  and member of CIRTHA (Interdepartmental Health Techonoly Assessment Center) at University of Pisa.

PUBLICATIONS

Professor Dania Cioni  has published over 108  articles in peer-reviewed international journals indexed in PubMed and numerous chapters in textbooks of radiology, gastroenterology, oncology and surgery. In addition, she has been the editor of 2 books. According to SCOPUS, citations of her publications currently exceed 4,500 for an h-index of 31.
