DESCRIPTION

Lorenzo Faggioni is Associate Professor of Radiology (Department of Translational Research, University of Pisa) and Vice Chair of the Master in Oncologic Imaging (University of Pisa and European Society of Oncologic Imaging).

AREAS OF INTEREST

• Lorenzo Faggioni’s main areas of research and clinical interest include imaging informatics (with a special focus on artificial intelligence, radiomics and radiological structured reporting), oncologic and cardiovascular applications of CT and MRI, radiation protection and contrast media optimization.
• He is involved in several European research projects, including Chaimeleon (grant agreement ID: 952172), EuCanImage (grant agreement ID: 952103) and ProCancer-I (grant agreement ID: 952159).
• He served as President of the Imaging Informatics Council of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology (SIRM) in the years 2021-2024.

PUBLICATIONS

To date, Lorenzo Faggioni has been editor of 3 books and author of more than 100 articles published in indexed journals (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=faggioni+lorenzo%5BAuthor%5D&sort=), more than 20 book chapters, and more than 200 presentations at national and international conferences. He has an H-index of 30 as per the Scopus database.
