DESCRIPTION

Francesca Pia Caputo is a medical physicist and a research fellow in  Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of Pisa. She actively works in the coordination and management of the European projects of the laboratory.

AREAS OF INTEREST

Francesca has area of interest that goes from the diagnosis to the treatment. During her year in USA she investigated the role of PET for dose verification in Craniopharyngioma patients who underwent to proton-therapy treatment and compared the images with MC simulations. In Italy, she did the three year of Medical Physics Residency and she has a research fellow position since 2022 at the Image. SHe is involved in European research projects, including Chaimeleon, EuCanImage and EUCAIM. She recently focused her research interest in Feature extraction in mammography.
