DESCRIPTION

Chiara Romei is a thoracic radiologist with  a PhD in Clinical Physiopathology and a Junior Assistant Professor (fixed-term) of Radiology at Department of Translational Research, University of Pisa 

AREAS OF INTEREST

Chiara Romei is specialized in thoracic radiology in oncological and non- oncological fields, both in clinical and research setting. 

She was trained in Rotterdam to use chest-MRI and in Rochester (Mayo Clinic) to use quantitative software in lung imaging. 

She has focused on quantitative imaging, artificial intelligence and chest-MRI.

She was awarded some funded research project:

•  TRANSCAN-3- ERA-NET as PI to perform radiomics analysis in Malignant pleural mesothelioma patients
• AIRC as collaborator to perform centralized CT radiomics analysis of renal cancer
• BANDO RICERCA COVID-19 as PI to perform segmentation and radiomics analysis of COVID lung involvement

PUBLICATIONS

Chiara Romei  has published over 50  articles in peer-reviewed international journals indexed in PubMed and chapters in textbooks of lung diseases.

According to SCOPUS, citations of her publications currently exceed 690  for an h-index of 15.
