Education and training
Rita Borgheresi graduate in physics from University of Florence in 2015. She holds the PhD in Physics in 2019 from the University of Florence with a thesis on “Development of detectors for the diagnostic of ELI-NP photons beam”. She is now postgraduate student in medical physics at the School of Specialization in Medical Physics of the University of Pisa.
Work experience
- 2019-2020 Research Assistant at Physics Department of the University of Pisa for the DOPET research project, an In-line PET detector for the monitoring of proton beam radiotherapy
- 2020- onwards Research Assistant at the Department of Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery of the University of Pisa working on the development of image biobanks. Currently she focuses on the extraction of radiomic features from medical images.
